Parents:

As you may have read or heard recently, there was an attempted abduction of a 7 year old girl at the Willowdale Steeplechase on May 9 (story below).

We have recently been alerted that a person matching the description of the perpetrator was seen lurking around the rest rooms and pavilion area of the URA fields.  This has been reported to local and State Police.

As such, URA has implemented a Lost Child plan.  To not compromise our plan of action, the only details we will share are:

1.      If you lose a child at the fields, report it to the snack shack immediately.  We will then quickly put our plan in motion.

2.      Tell your children if they get separated from you they must report to the snack shack.

Please raise your awareness and remain vigilant when at our complex.  Report any suspicious behavior immediately.  In the situation at URA, the parent that witnessed the suspicious behavior asked a lot of questions which frightened this individual away.

A special thanks goes out to one of our long time volunteers, John Narcise (Chief of Police, Willistown Twp), for developing the lost child plan and for assisting us in stepping up our safety efforts at our complex.

Thank you in advance for your assistance

Police are asking the public's help identifying a man who allegedly attempted to abduct a 7-year-old girl at the Willowdale Steeplechase on May 14.

The alleged abduction attempt was thwarted after the child's brother and his friend quickly reacted as she was being led away by her wrist, police reported.
