Rookie A Overview

The Rookie A Baseball division challenges the players by combining Pitching machine, player pitch and coach pitch.

This division uses player pitch for the first three innings.  However, to speed gameplay and develop pitchers and hitters, after a pitcher throws the 4th ball to a batter, the player does not walk.  The coach then enters game to finish the count by pitching to the batter until he/she puts the ball in play or strikes out.

For the last 3 innings of the game, the pitching machine is utilized.

Practices are 1x per week at coaches discretion.  Teams generally play 2 games per week while all teams generally have a game on Saturday.

This division is primarily for 7 and 8 year olds only.
